Week 18 - Blessedness

“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

Matthew 5:11-12

James 1:2

“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds.”

James 1:12

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.”

James 4:10

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exult you.”

1 Peter 4:13-14

“But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when His glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.”

Visit the Voice of the Martyrs website and read one story of a Christian suffering persecution. Pray for that person for three consecutive days.
