Week 29 - Rest

Mark 2:27-28

And He said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”

Genesis 2:2

And on the seventh day God finished His work that He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work that He had done.

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

Colossians 2:20-21

If with Christ you died to the elemental spirits of the world, why, as if you were still alive in the world, do you submit to regulations– ‘Do not handle, Do not taste, Do not touch.'

Friends and family can read us better than we can read ourselves.

Ask them where in your life you need to rest.

Inform them of your intention to practice Sabbath in a practical way,

and let them hold you accountable.
